Concrete Finishes Guide

Broom Finish

A classic, slip-resistant surface created by dragging a broom over fresh tightened concrete. Perfect for driveways, sidewalks, and patios. Durable and practical.

Exposed Aggregate

The top layer of cement paste is washed away to reveal the natural stone inside the mix. Creates a textured, decorative look with excellent traction.

Sand Finish

Smooth but lightly textured. The surface is etched to expose fine sand particles, giving a soft, clean look that feels upscale without being slippery.

Stamped Concrete

Patterns and textures are pressed into the concrete before it sets, mimicking stone, brick, slate, or wood. Great for decorative patios, walkways, and pool decks.

Colored Concrete

Integral color is mixed into the concrete or applied as a stain, offering earth tones, modern grays, or bold accents. Adds personality while maintaining durability.

Hard Trowel (Hand Finished)

A polished look created by multiple passes with a steel trowel, producing a tight, reflective surface. Ideal for interior slabs where appearance matters.

Burnished Finish/ Machine Finish

A sleek, smooth surface achieved with a power trowel. Common for garage floors, shop slabs, and commercial interiors where a hard, dense finish is needed.
